The Event Gallery provides a place for us to share "stuff". It might be a video; photos of some event in which we have participated; or some other newsworthy item. So, click on whatever suits your fancy!
- Holiday Party 2010. If you weren't there you were definitely square. For twenty six of us at least, InlandRail's first-ever holiday party was a resounding success! We wish more of you could have attended—you'll have another chance next year. Everyone enjoyed being able to get caught up on "stuff"—talked a little business; drank some adult beverages; maybe told a few lies; life was SO good. Luigi's was a wonderful choice for the get-together. They are truly a GREAT venue. We had the upper room all to ourselves. We ran the full-length Spokane Light Rail project-produced video on repeat mode, which proved to be quite popular. The food and service were fantastic. Thanks again to Luigi's for making us feel so welcome.
- Unity in the Community 2009. Unity in the Community was another success—once again there was a lot of interest in light rail. We had a chance to talk with a couple of Spokane city council candidates. For the most part, the weather cooperated, but as we were getting ready to pack up, the skies opened up and we got dumped on. Oh, well...
- South Perry Street Fair 2009. Yep, we were able to muster some of the troops and do the South Perry Street Fair again this year. The weather cooperated, and the InlandRail booth attracted considerable attention. Twenty new friends of InlandRail signed up.
- Earth Day 2008. It might have been cold and rainy, but it snowed a bit, too. Undaunted, the InlandRail board of directors took the opportunity to participate in their first official function. In spite of the strange weather—not only did it rain and snow, but the sun broke through at times, as well—a good time was had by all, and sixty new friends signed on to the InlandRail cause.
- South Perry Street Fair 2008. Doggone it! We didn't get many photos of this event. Unlike Earth Day 2008, the weather was GREAT. Happily, KC brought his camera, and did manage to get photos of John Olsen and Rich Bryant (and if you look closely, you'll see Phyllis Holmes' shoulder). Gallant try, KC, but we'll be sure to have our regular photographer, Trudy Raymond at the next event. The Friends list continues to grow—twenty new friends signed on with InlandRail. Interest continues to mount.
- Pigout in the Park 2008. Wow! This event was huge. Nearly 100 new Friends signed up, and we collected over 1300 signatures on our petition to the STA Board to resume planning for regional rail transit. For the most part, the weather cooperated. We staffed the booth from 10am to at least 9pm every day, Wednesday through the following Monday. Our tent was located across the path (south) and a little west from the IMAX area, beneath some very welcoming trees. We had a great "seat" for the clock tower entertainment, but the sound level made it hard at times to talk with the people who stopped to check out the InlandRail information. Interest in our endeavor is skyrocketing.
