High Capacity Transit Video Simulations

During the original 6-year high capacity transit study, numerous alternatives were studied: bus rapid transit; light rail transit; electric propulsion; diesel propulsion; single track; double track; at-grade; elevated; multiple routes; shared right-of-way; dedicated right-of-way—you get the picture. In other words, a LOT of stuff was on the table, and a LOT of stuff was studied in-depth. What emerged—and what was recommended to the STA Board—was light rail in the east-west south valley corridor. The Light Rail Steering Committee approved the production of a number of videos depicting some of the options, in order to help illustrate the concepts. They are included below for your edification and enjoyment. Have fun!
